X-GEN CONGRESS & EXPO 2012
March 5-9, 2012 | San Diego, California
CHI’s 2nd annual X-Gen Congress & Expo was held March 14-18 in San Diego, California. This meeting proved to be a leading event in paving the way to discovering the unique cross fertilization of established genomic technologies.
Over 500 participants representing over 20 countries gathered for plenary keynote sessions, concurrent conference tracks, ample short courses and dedicated exhibit and poster viewing hours.
The successful launch of NGS Leaders (http://www.ngsleaders.org), a community created to advance the use and value of next-generation sequencing through community-based knowledge sharing, created excitement and enthusiasm about the future of genomics.

What people are saying about X-Gen Congress & Expo…
To me, the most useful aspect of the meeting was the broad range of topics from both academia and industry, including exhibitions; it gave me a good perspective of the field as a whole. Panel discussions were great!
~Julia Ponomarenko, Senior Research Scientist, San Diego Supercomputing Center & Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of California, San Diego
The conference allowed for an inter-disciplinary platform, which was great for collaborations.
