Cambridge Healthtech Institute's Fourth Annual
Data Analysis: Sequencing's Strategic Step
Part of the Fourth Annual X-Gen Congress
March 18-20, 2013 | Hilton San Diego Resort, San Diego, CA

Sequencing a genome is only the beginning.  Multiple layers of analysis are necessary to convert raw sequence data into the understanding of gene function.  The development of novel bioinformatic approaches and algorithms for assembly, alignment, and annotation continues to advance variation detection and genetic analysis.  CHI's Data Analysis: Sequencing's Strategic Step convenes biological researchers, bioinformaticians, network architects, and software engineers with the goal of turning sequence data into functional knowledge.

Topics Include:

  • Data Generation
  • Data Assembly
  • Data Alignment
  • Data Analysis
  • Data Interpretation
  • Data Management
  • Data Storage (Protection& Integrity)
  • Data Transfer (Cloud Computing)
  • Data Cost Control
  • Data Quality Control

Researchers working with technical developments driving this field or researchers applying discovery research are encouraged to submit a title and brief summary of their research for consideration of presentation. Please note that due to limited speaking slots, preference is given to abstracts from those within pharmaceutical and biotech companies, regulators and those from academic centers. Additionally, as per CHI policy, a select number of vendors/consultants who provide products and services to these biopharmaceutical researchers are offered opportunities for podium presentation slots based on a variety of Corporate Sponsorships.

Scientists who wish to present their knowledge and expertise to their colleagues are asked to submit an abstract. Remember to specify the conference that you are interested in and please provide your full contact information.

All proposals are subject to review by the Scientific Advisory Committee to ensure the highest quality of the conference program.

If you are interested in presenting, please click here to submit a speaking proposal for review. Deadline for priority consideration: August 24, 2013
